BackerKit surveys are coming!

Hi everyone,

Soon you'll be receiving an email from BackerKit with a special link to your survey. It’s essential to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfil your rewards. 

What to expect from the survey 

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the survey invite email, click the survey link to respond. The survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete and will give us the important information that we need to send you Kavango! Via the survey you can answer questions about your reward preferences (i.e. what t-shirt size you want), tell us your delivery address, upgrade your pledge and purchase add-ons if you like! After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys in March 2024 (we'll give you warning before we close the surveys!). 

Please note that we'll be calculating and collecting delivery fees at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter and charge you for shipping in February/March 2024. We'll let you know when shipping costs are finalised and before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you informed all along the way! In the meantime, you can find the latest delivery estimates on our website here: https://mazazagames.com/kickstarter-delivery. 

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://kavango.backerkit.com.

A note on Facebook and Apple ID 

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your crowdfunding account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address associated with your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please let us know via messenger on Kickstarter or contact support at https://kavango.backerkit.com/faq.

After surveys are sent, if you did not receive the email, and you Signed in with Apple ID, your email address might be a private relay email address. We can help locate your survey and update your email address, please message us or post a comment with your Backer ID or Pledge # found on your confirmation. You can learn more about your email hiding for your Apple ID here.

Late pledge option is now live and an update on delivery fees

Hi everyone! 

We've got two updates for you today...

Late Pledge options

Our pre-order store is live!  If you know anyone who missed out on the Kickstarter campaign and wants to buy the Kickstarter version of Kavango (with stretch goals included) or wants to get one of our exclusive t-shirts then please direct them to our 'late pledge' option on our Kickstarter page. 

For our original backers, you'll be able to amend or add to your order via our pledge manager which will come out in a couple of weeks. 

Brief update on delivery fees

Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, our delivery fees for Kavango will be finalised and charged around February 2024 when we have better estimates of what it will cost. We'll let you know when delivery costs are finalised and will keep you informed all along the way! There are a few advantages of this for you as a backer, firstly it means you have longer to confirm your delivery address so there'll be no stress if you move! And secondly, it gives us time to scope out the best fulfilment deals and options for pick-up locations. 

The good news for now is that we're working hard to secure deals with fulfilment providers and are committed to giving you a great price for delivery. Look out for this around February 2024 when we finalise our delivery charges.

Luxury A5 Art Prints!

Hi everyone! 

We've been engaging with you on social media and via Kickstarter updates to build a sense of what extras you'd like to see in our pledge manager once it goes live. 

A5 prints of the animal artwork were the most highly requested add-on and we're excited to let you know that we'll be offering a choice of 31 animal prints on our pledge manager! 

They'll be printed on 250gsm matte art paper for a luxury finish. Here is a sneak peak of what you can expect...

New Box Art!

Finishing touches

We're busy working on finishing touches to the game to make sure it's the best it can be! Matt's made some improvements to the box art to make sure it'll look great on your shelf at home. We've given extra detail and a pop of colour to the grass in the foreground by adding natal red-top grass. The male lion has had a makeover and the green colour of the text has been changed to make it brighter. There's also now added details on all sides, with continuity of the main front-of-box image and reduced language dependency (we'll share photos of this in later updates). 

Pledge manager coming soon...

Our pledge manager will be ready soon. At the moment, we're conducting polls on social media to gauge what kind of add-ons you'd like in the pledge manager. We're currently polling to see which kind of animals you might like to see on offer as A5 prints. Let us know what you think on social media (Instagram and Facebook) or in the comments below! We'd love hear your feedback :)

Hi everyone! 

We're still over-the-moon about the campaign and the support we received from you all. I know we've said it a million times but it still doesn't seem enough...thank you! 

Here's what to expect next...

The next step towards getting your copy of Kavango will be when we open our Pledge Manager and invite you to access it. 

What is a Pledge Manager? It's an online platform that allows us to do the following: 

• Collect delivery information and allow you to pay for delivery;
• Offer you an opportunity to buy extra games, t-shirts or other exclusive add-ons;
• Take new pre-orders of Kavango for anyone who missed the campaign. 

You will receive an email in the next few weeks inviting you to access your pledge manager, which for us is going to be facilitated by a company called BackerKit. We'll post another update on here when the emails go out in case they go to junk! 

Once you log into the pledge manager, you will be asked to fill out a survey with information such as your mailing address, the size of t-shirt(s) you'd like if you've ordered them and any extra items you'd like to buy. You'll be asked to pay for delivery and if you've decided to buy some additional items then you'll pay for those at check-out. We're using Stripe to manage payments for our pledge manager so all your transactions will be secure.
