Delivery fees - when will they be charged?

Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, our delivery fees for Kavango will be finalised and charged around February 2024 when we have better estimates of what it will cost. We’ll let you know when delivery costs are finalised and will keep you informed all along the way! There are a few advantages of this for you as a backer, firstly it means you have longer to confirm your delivery address so there’ll be no stress if you move! And secondly, it gives us time to scope out the options for pick-up locations.

How can I change my pledge?

You can change your pledge at any point during the survey.

When you first open the survey, before you’ve started, you’ll see a link underneath the ‘Get Started!’ button which reads “or Switch Your Pledge Level”. Click on that link and you’ll be given all of the pledge options. Simply choose which one you’d like to change to, confirm your selection and continue with the survey. The price-difference will be automatically added to your cart.

Alternatively, you can change your pledge at any point during the survey. In the top left corner of the survey, beside the Kavango image, you’ll see text reading “Your Pledge Level” with a hyperlinked “£X Reward” underneath. Click on the “£X Reward” link and it will take you to your Pledge Information Page. On the top right of the pledge information page there is a link saying “Switch Your Pledge Level”. Click on that and you’ll be given all of the pledge options. Simply choose which one you’d like to change to, confirm your selection and continue with the survey. The price-difference will be automatically added to your cart.

What is the difference between Standard and Deluxe versions?

We have designed the standard version so that it has a high quality finish and you’ll get a great experience with both versions.

Where the Deluxe version stands out is with the extras it comes with. Firstly, five fabric bags to hold components. The pattern on the bags and colours have been hand-designed by us to match the aesthetic of Kavango. They’re inspired by shwe shwe fabric but are ultimately unique to the game. Secondly, each player board will be double printed in the Deluxe version with one side having corner holders for all of the cards. This will allow you to play Kavango outside or even around a busy table without worrying about cards blowing away or being shaken off your board. Thirdly, the Kavango box will be embossed in the Deluxe version to give it a real luxury feel. Fourthly, we will have wooden tokens throughout the Deluxe version. And best of all we have the Deluxe card trays. We love these because they are extra sturdy and not only do they act as a beautiful card holders during gameplay, they are box organisers and ensure that everything fits perfectly in the box without additional packaging. This is ideal for travelling with Kavango and looks great on the table.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
